Release of the booklet on Cancer Awareness



The Forane Half Yearly Council was held on Sunday, 28^th August 2011 at Kalloorkad unit. Out of 63, 48 Office Bearers of units participated. The programme started at 1.50 pm with flag hoist by Mr. Cherian Mathew, President, Kalloorkad unit. The inaugural meeting started at 2 pm. Rev. Fr. George Chemparathy, Director delivered the keynote address. Rev. Fr. Paul Kalayil, Asst. Director, Kalloorkad unit inaugurated the council. Mr. Cris Thomas, President presided over. Mr. Albin Lawrence, President, Paingottoor Forane; Ms. Afina Mary Saju, Senator; Mr. Cherian Mathew felicitated. The booklet on ‘Cancer Awareness’ was released by Forane Director and inaugurated the distribution by giving first copy to Mr. Jaimy David, President, Vazhakulam unit.  The prize to the winners (Vazhakulam unit team) of Forane level Sabha Charithra Quiz was given by Rev. Fr. Paul Kalayil. Ms. Divya Francis, Joint Secretary welcomed the gathering. Ms. Femy Varghese, our committee member compeered the programme.

After the inaugural session, the Report Session started and the Unit Secretaries presented their reports in the prescribed format and time frame while the other office bearers of respective units present on the dais. There was a short discourse on each report by Moderators of the session- Mr. Cris Thomas & Ms. Femy Varghese. The report of the activities of the Forane Committee was presented thereafter by Mr. Tom John, Secretary. The Income and Expenditure Account was presented by Mr. Aju Jose, Treasurer. The report and accounts in printed form was distributed among the council members before along with the presentation. After this, President led the discussion and clarified the doubts. The report and accounts was passed unanimously.

The programme marked its conclusion by flag drop by Ms. Divya Francis. The next session was very delicious with ‘Kappa’ and ‘Meen’ curry. The programme was finished at 4.30 pm.

HALF YEARLY COUNCIL ON 28 AUG. AT KALLOORKAD

All unit Directors, Animators and Office Bearers are cordially invited to the Half Yearly Forane Council to be held on Sunday, 28th August 2011 at 1.30 pm at Kalloorkad unit.

The Council will be inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Jose Peechatt, Kalloorkad Unit Director. The Booklet on Cancer Awareness published by Forane Committee will be released on the occasion.

All unit Secretaries are requested to prepare the unit report of activities during the last 6 months in the prescribed format and bring it for presentation.

EXE. MEETING HELD ON 14 AUGUST

An Executive Meeting was held on 14 August at 3.30 pm at Vazhakulam. 9 out of 13 members were present. Rev. Fr. Paul Nedumpurath, Patron delivered the keynote address. Mr. Rijo John, Diocesan Gen. Secretary was also present. The main discussion of the committee was the conduct of Half Yearly Council to be held on 28th August at Kalloorkad.
